Snogo in the Wild
Hello Snogo Fam,
Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you probably shouldn’t take.
The ones that make absolutely no sense on paper.
The ones where common sense says stay home, get some sleep, be responsible… and something inside you says, “Yeah, but what if?”
This story reminds us that some of life’s greatest memories happen when you stop over-planning and start saying yes.

When I was a kid, family vacations meant piling into the car and heading to another state to visit family.
Strange to say, but no phones. No streaming. No endless distractions.
We counted cows. We played road trip games. We laughed at the same stories over and over.
Looking back, it wasn’t really about the destination. It was about the time together and the memories made along the way.
Fast forward to today. The phone rings around 4:30 PM. “Be ready. We’re hitting the road.” No planning. No reservations. No overthinking. Just me and three friends throwing our bags in a car and pointing it toward JazzFest.
A day of driving.
Four days of music.
Late nights in the Quarter.
Almost no sleep.
And some of the best memories I’ve made in years.
When you’re trying to squeeze every ounce out of an experience like that, energy matters. Not the artificial kind. The kind that lets you stay present, stay connected, and not miss a moment.
That’s where SNOGO came in.
Throughout the trip we’d pass around our favorite cacao, sharing it with new friends and keeping the good vibes rolling from one stage to the next. It became part of the ritual. A little pick-me-up before heading back out into the city. Just enough to keep us moving without missing a beat.
And trust me, there was a lot we didn’t want to miss.
Pearl Jam.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
Two of my all-time favorites.
The energy of the crowds.
The music pouring through the streets.
The random conversations that only happen when thousands of people gather to celebrate life, music, and the moment.
We wanted all of it.
Every song.
Every laugh.
Every late-night adventure.
SNOGO helped us make the most of it.
We stayed in it.
We said “yes” to one more show, one more walk through the Quarter, one more memory with friends.
By the time the drive home rolled around, we were running on fumes.
The good kind.
The kind that comes from living fully for a few days and not leaving anything on the table.
When I finally got home, I slept most of the following weekend.
And honestly? The dreams were almost as good as the trip.
Road trips may look different than they did when I was counting cows out the window as a kid.
But the magic is still the same.
Good friends.
Great music.
Shared experiences.
A little spontaneity.
And memories you’ll be talking about for years.

*Editorial love by my Snogo team.
April, that is truly one of the things I love most about Snogo. It’s always been about the moments it helps create.
The conversations between friends.
The shared experiences.
The adventures that start with, “Should we?” and end with, “I’m so glad we did.”
Life is measured by the memories we collect, the people we share them with, and the stories we tell afterward.
So if the opportunity shows up…
Take the trip.
See the show.
Stay a little longer.
Laugh a little harder.
Because someday, those are the moments you’ll remember.
Big Love,
AY
PS: Something wonderful is coming this weekend. Look for it.
